An old Madeiran tratiditon which brings together the community to prepare the “Panelo”, a culinary dish similar to the Portuguese stew, but with a Madeiran twist.

Madeira Island Ultra Trail
Dates: 09-12th April
It consists of a mountain race that during this year edition will offer its participants with a unique experience crossing the island highest peaks/mountains.

Flower Festival
Dates: 16th-22nd April
In order to welcome the spring, the city turns into a colorful and magical town with many activities such as folklore dances and concerts.

Carnaval
Dates: 11th-18th February
One of the most important celebrations is the carnival where thousands of people flood the mains streets of the city dressed to enjoy many organized activities.

VII Madeira Orienteering Meeting

MOM is a competition trial that is part of the portuguese cup for Orienteering calender with three courses of middle distance within mountain area and sprint course in the city of Funchal.

Festival of St. James The Lesser

On May 1st, the City of Funchal pays tribute to São Tiago Menor (St. James the Less), its patron saint.

Madeira island Open
Dates: 19th - 22nd March
The Santo da Serra golf course will host the 2015 edition of the Madeira Island Open Golf championship, part of the Main PGA European Tour.

Reids Classic Car Show
